Item Description
11x22.5" thin artboard w/pen and ink original art for Oct. 24, 1976 Sunday page. Art is by Dan Barry (who created art for the "Flash Gordon" Sunday page from 1967-1990) and features eight panels. Faint "Mars Caretaker" title at top left along w/date and "Wk. 10" notation. Art features Ke-Tapok the Martian about to demonstrate his powers, only to be swayed by Willie, who approaches in floating boat. Willie release Ke-Tapok from his 3,000 year service, allowing him to return to his sarcophagus. KFS copyright strip at bottom of sixth panel. "F. Gordon" title paste-overs at bottom left/right. Scattered margin dust soiling, but art remains clean and Exc.
