Item Description
Large and impressive 18.25x48.5"glossy single-sided sign promoting 1951 giveaway/premium comic distributed by Crosley Division of Avco Mfg. Corp. (producers of TV sets, radios and home appliances). Comic book had 48 pages and featured stories, puzzle, cut-outs (including "Martian Flying Saucer Catapult"), games, etc. Sign features image of comic's cover as well as numerous images of characters from the book, including Mother Goose and Santa Claus. Sign has three vertical fold lines and scattered margin/corner tip handling wear. A few .25" to .5" margin tears. Fine overall. The premium comic itself is scarce while this impressive sign is rare and just the second example we've seen in our 51 years. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
