6-3/8x23" artboard has Al Capp's pencil and ink original art for Feb. 12, 1936 daily strip. Strip features three panels, w/first panel having "Perfect American Beauty Found In Kentucky Hills" headline w/portrait of Daisy Mae. Article notes a young artist was searching for the "Perfect Type Of American Beauty" may be romantically interested in Daisy, to which Li'l Abner replies to in shock, exclaiming "Wal - Fry Mah Hide!" Capp has signed last panel. Artboard comes w/attached 8.75x25.5" mat (easily removed if so desired). Margins have some aging and scattered wear, but art remains clean and Exc. overall.
