Item Description
Pair of 11x14" lobby cards for the original release of the 1940 Political Satire/Comedy/Drama film written, directed, produced, scored by and starring Charlie Chaplin. Both cards feature Chaplin as Adenoid Hynkel, a clear parody of Adolf Hitler. One card shows him seated at his desk, Henry Daniell as Garbitsch (a parody of Joseph Goebbels) on the left and Jack Oakie as Benzino Napaloni (a parody of Benito Mussolini). Other card shows troops of Tomania (a parody of Nazi Germany) saluting Hynkel along w/Napaloni. Both cards have pin holes at corners and some even aging but are o/w Fine/VF. Scarce.
