Item Description
3-3/8" long with hanger having spread wing eagle above eight different designs of corps insignia. The back of the hanger is stamped "B.B. & B./Pat/3-8-1900/Bronze". It's very likely that the letters "B.B. & B." stand for the name of the Philadelphia jewelry firm of Bailey Banks & Biddle. The design below consists of a soldier and sailor flanking a woman and child. There is also an anchor design with U.S.A. at the top and with a cross design that has three of the arms inscribed "Philippines/Cuba/Puerto Rico." Apparently this group was in existence for only four years and was then incorporated into the larger group United Spanish War Veterans. Very slight age tone on the ribbon. Rare and Exc.
