Item Description
4-3/8x17-3/8" artboard w/single, long panel w/India ink original art by Barney Google creator Billy DeBeck. Art is for Nov. 13, 1937 daily strip and has been signed by DeBeck at lower right w/King Features Syndicate copyright strip beside it. Art features Snuffy Smith entering general store, w/hillbilly locals gossiping, one group looking to start a fight before being reminded "Ye Know Th' Perprieter Won't Stand Fer No Fightin' An' Scrimmagin' Till After Business Hours." Top margin has some editorial notations. Panel has aged screentone that has been trimmed out for main characters. This has darkened considerably. Artboard and art are VF overall.
