Item Description
5.5x20.25" artboards w/three panels w/India ink original art by Barney Google creator Billy DeBeck. Art is for Dec. 15, 1928 and has been signed by DeBeck in last panel as well as having King Features Syndicate copyright strip. First panel is all hand-lettered text, telling of how Horseface Klotz wishes to redeem himself by racing his horse - The Pinky Winky Baby - against Spark Plug, beating him and Barney Google. Men gossip in the second panel, talking about Professor Zanini has been rumored to be training Spark Plug, which is revealed to be true when Spark Plug races through, w/both Barney and Zanini on his back. Top has handwritten "Sparky Feels His Oats" title. Some scattered dust soiling and even aging, artboard is VF overall w/Exc. art.
