Item Description
Illustrated cardboard box contains 5.5" long die-cast metal and plastic replica #803 w/inner vacuform plastic insert. ©1968 King Features Syndicate. Yellow Submarine is nicely designed and has periscope array that spins when sub is pushed and two hatches that open to reveal raising and lowering three-dimensional figures of Ringo Starr w/George Harrison and Paul McCartney w/John Lennon. Sub is further accented by decals for portholes, etc. Sub has some scattered aging to decals, but these are complete. One of three tiny propeller blades has snapped off (which is hidden as boxed) and back fin has two tiny paint flakes off. Still displays VF overall. Great for display. Box window is loose but free of any cracks (just a few minor edge dents) and box insert has some stress creases, most of which are hidden as boxed. Tiny hole where propeller rested. Box shows scattered corner tip wear w/creases and some creases around window. Fine overall. Classic Corgi.
