Item Description
15.25x23.25" thin cardboard w/trifold game board design has full color, all mixed media original art game board paper label attached w/paper covering on exterior w/original art label w/game name and "Esso" logo outside gas station image. Remnants of "A Creation Of Sam Gold - Premium King" foil crown sticker at corner of exterior covering. Some corner tip wear and dust soiling to outside label. Interior has two "Happy Motoring!" service centers and two finish areas w/Oil Drop images (Oil Drop also appears on billboard along multi-directional road game route). Two small tears to paper, o/w Exc. Comes w/4-3/8x4.5" original art spinner w/metal spinner arrow and "Esso" logo at opposite corners along w/Esso Oil Drop mascot portrait. Metal spinner arrow has some oxidation but o/w spinner is Exc. Back has "A Creation Of Sam Gold - Premium King" foil crown sticker. Lot also includes two typed sheets w/instruction (w/handwritten correction in ink). Sheets show handling wear/aging and are VG. Last item is 9x12" sheet w/mixed media original art showing two different designs for box lid for this game; one prominently featuring Oil Drop. Fold at center w/some handling/corner tip wear. "A Creation Of Sam Gold - Premium King" foil crown sticker on back. Fine overall. Neat lot relating to this 1950s premium design. Unique. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
