10x11.25" die-cut card holds 6.75" long cardboard tube flashlight w/plastic attachments w/separate die-cut Green Hornet "arms." Colorforms. ©1966 Greenway Productions, Inc. Card has great graphics of Green Hornet leaping towards viewer w/Kato at his side. Simulated Green Hornet insect signal is beamed from end of flashlight which has two light-up "eyes." Card shows minor warp. Card has 1" crease at Green Hornet's left wrist. Signed on reverse in silver by Mel Birnkrant. Bright and Exc. Flashlight itself is choice NM. Extensive lot includes all materials and original art by Mel Birnkrant that he used to design toy in 1966 including ABC reference photos (including images of Van Johnson as Green Hornet and Bruce Lee as Kato, hornet logos, TV show logo, show props including Hornet's Sting and gas gun, etc.), typed "ABC Feature" show synopsis dated May 26, 1966, numerous original sketches and color comps, numerous stats and negatives, original folded press color proof and mechanical. A complete one of a kind package of materials. Moderate aging/wear to pieces but overall most will display VF. A rare toy w/the rarest of production materials for this key piece. This is the first toy that Mel Birnkrant designed for the Colorforms Company that was produced commercially, preceding "The Outer Space Men" by two years.
