Item Description
Lot of three 11x17" Blue Line artboards w/pencil and ink original art, each for page from "G.I. Joe" comics published by Image Comics in  2001-2002. All three feature Cobra fan-favorite Destro. Issue #2, page 24 features three panels, w/Roadblock cradling mortally wounded cadet in first panel as two Anti-Gravity Pods blast off in second panel. Third panel shows Gung-Ho issuing command while second half of page is splash panel showing Destro and Mistress Armada escaping Dreadnoks base. Issue #3, page 7 features five panels showing Destro brooding, w/last panel revealing Destro's bedridden father. Issue #4, page 3 is stunning splash page showing Destro and Mistress Armada in jail cell, only for Destro's father to have reclaimed his role as Destro, wearing his classic 1980s uniform. All art by Steve Kurth w/inks by John Larter. Artboards have faint penciled title, issue/page numbers at top. Some lt. corner tip wear, but all art remains clean and Exc. overall. Comes w/reading copies of the actual issues for which this art was published. Kevin Watts G.I. Joe Collection.
