Item Description
15.25x22" heavy artboard w/mixed media orignal art by "Evening Bulletin"  nationally recognized newspaper artist and longtime Philadelphia, PA Channel 3 children's show host (from 1950-1963) Pete Boyle. Art shows young woman standing and talking to three Mummers Parade performers - a man in elaborate feathered drag, a blackface minstrel and a circus clown. The Mummers Parade is held each New Year's Day in Philadelphia, PA and is believed to be the oldest folk festival in the US. Boyle has signed art at lower right, adding "Dec. 23 - 1954" date. Artboard has moderate scattered staining/dust soiling and is Fine overall, thought art remains nice for display and would make for nice matted and framed display.
