Item Description
Pair of 10.75x16.25" artboards features artist Don Perlin's pen and ink original art for pages 10 and 12 of the Jan. 1983 issue of "Ghost Rider" #76, published by Marvel Comics. Perlin is a comic book artist and occasional writer best known for Marvel Comics' "Werewolf by Night, The Defenders" and "Ghost Rider." Each page features six panels, w/Ghost Rider's human form Johnny Blaze racing Ghost Rider's demon form Zarathos on motorcycles across hell, all as part of a wager between Mephisto and Asmodeus. The small motorcycles appear in total of nine panels, being attacked by the giant demon Saturnine. Mephisto and Asmodeus appear in two panels. Pages have been inked by Dave Simons. Backs of both artboards have Marvel copyright stamps. Top margin has stamped/inked title and inked issue/page number w/some scattered margin production notations. Left and lower right corners of both have been clipped/trimmed, though this does not affect art. Right margins have some faint moisture staining just above center. This extends slightly into art but is not overly distracting. Art still displays VF overall.
