Item Description
6" w/concave metal back and two sets of wires for display. Bastian Bros. Co. text and union bug on curl between 5 and 6 o'clock. Staining, edge loss of thin cello covering, surface paper lifts, red tape applied repairing the word "For" and generally signs of extensive use. These were used as license plate attachments during the campaign and a Cox mate is known to exist. Finding an example of this, the largest button issued for the 1920 Republican candidate is a challenge in any condition. There is no doubt this example was used to promote Harding's candidacy on the network of early American byways.
