Item Description
10.5x14x3.75" deep cardboard box unfolds to be assembled into counter display for the five included oversized 10-1/8x13.25" comic books, a "Limited Collector's Golden Mint Series" published by DC Comics in 1979. This is Vol. 8, No. C-61, a reprint of "Superman" #1 (June 1939). Issues have some handling wear w/pinch creases to spines. Fine/VF overall. Display features great action image of Superman in battle w/monster and has "Superman" comic book title/logo on both sides. Box has original recipient mailing information removed (top portion of cardboard has been sliced off). This does not affect display's appearance, as all display surfaces were printed on interior of box. Perforated sections show some wear as folded for display purposes, but overall, display is Fine/VF. Comes w/8.5x11-1/8" glossy  cardstock promo photo of larger display for these comics, w/Superman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Robin and Batman portraits on side. Exc. Franco Toscanini Collection.
