Item Description
11x17" thin DC Comics artboard features artist Gil Kane's pen and ink original art for page 17 of the Aug 1995 issue of "Superman" Vol. 2 #103, published by DC Comics. Kane is noted for penciling the first 75 issues of the Silver Age "Green Lantern" title. Six panel page features a stricken Superman on the Whiz Wagon being taken for medical help by members of Joe Simon and Jack Kirby's Newsboy Legion and Emil Hamilton after being injured by Arclight. Superman clearly appears in first panel and again on stretcher in fourth panel. Page has been inked by Joe Rubinstein. Top margin has production notations w/handwritten title and inked issue/page number. Aged strips of tape at top/bottom center, but art remains Exc.
