Item Description
Only 7,500 specimens of this 2" brass medal were struck. Obverse has profile portrait in relief while reverse has full figure female holding olive branch plus text "Harry S. Truman/Inaugurated/President/of the/United/States/January 20/ 1949". The finish on these medals was very susceptible to spotting. This example does not have that defect. Front has trace of luster off at 9 o'clock. The only wear on reverse is a tiny luster rub on the female's waist and an even smaller luster dot off her knee. Exc.
