Item Description
Large and impressive 17.5x20.5x1.75" deep dimensional Vacuform plastic plaque by Standard Plastics Products, Inc. ©1963 Universal Pictures Company Inc. From a series of six plaques made by SPP (a company purchased by and incorporated into Mattel in 1964) that also included Frankenstein (see following item #2096), Phantom of the Opera, Dracula, Creature from the Black Lagoon and The Mummy. These plaques originally retailed for $1.49. SPP is also known for making the Universal Monsters vinyl wallets during this period. Gold foil name sticker at bottom center of "frame," which has some minor scattered color rubs. Left corners have slivers broken off, top measuring .75" w/.5" crack while bottom has 1.25" sliver off. Fine overall, but still nice for display. Rare and first we've offered in our 50 years.
