Item Description
Wonderfully detailed 29x35" silk-screened poster showing Alpine meadow w/mountains in bkg. was printed in 1938 by Gustav Pfister to promote travel in the German/Swiss Alps. German text refers to traveling on the "Appenzeller Bahn," a railway that operated scenic Alpine routes at the time. Upper left has repair to 1-1/8" tear w/2" crease. Top center has 9.25" vertical tear repair and 12" diagonal crease at upper right. Despite these issues, poster remains bright and clean, displaying VF as linen-mounted.
