Item Description
7.5x8.25x1.5" deep illustrated cardboard box w/header contains original vacuform plastic tray insert containing set of six 2" tall figures. Issued in Japan, 1987. This is the Japanese of Takara's "Battle Beasts," which were in themselves a branch of the popular "Transformers" toyline. Set includes - #54B "Leapin' Lizard," #59A "King Cobra," #60C "Manic Mandrill," #70A "Harrier Hawk" and #74B "Fleet-Footed Ante-Lope." Set also includes clear variety of "Killer Carp" figure. All aside from Killer Carp were also issued in the US as part of the third series of "Battle Beasts" whereas Killer Carp was issued in his original form in Series 1. Each has original Japanese sticker on underside of foot and all come w/original weapons still sealed in their original plastic bags. Mint as packaged. Box has had one factory tape strip sliced open, but all contents (including illustrated Japanese checklist folder and sealed bag w/Japanese weapon checklist and collector cards for the figures issued in this set. Box shows little wear and is Exc. overall.
