Item Description
10.75x14.25" frame w/8.25x12" opening. Thin paper poster dated "Saturday Oct. 24th, 1896" advertising a campaign event featuring "William H. Manchester, Esq." and w/additional text at bottom noting that "The Ladies Are Cordially Invited." A 2" horizontal tear just below center along right edge that does not affect text. Also two vertical and one horizontal folds and a waviness of the paper. VG. First we've seen. The text extending an invitation to the "Ladies" adds a particular charm to this rare broadside.
