Item Description
27x47" one-sheet poster features wonderful graphics of huge crowd strolling through lines of circus train cars, each w/animals within, including rhinoceros, polar bears, monkeys, tigers, lions, bears, leopards and various other exotic animals w/fenced off sections between cars w/camels, deer/antelopes, zebra and buffalo. Right side features line of elephants and tank of hippopotami in foreground. Printed by Riverside Print Co., c. 1929. Small penciled date at top left. A few pin holes at margins w/some scattered handling wear. Top margin (just right of center) has two .5" pieces of border replaced and there is some tape staining visible along curved 3" tear beside "5 Ring" text circle. Margins show some scattered wear w/small tears and a few tiny edge chips. 1.5" tear at upper right. Folded as issued w/moderate wear at top of center vertical fold line. VG/Fine overall, but would display nicely if framed. Great circus scene. Fred Hoffman Collection.
