Item Description

10.75x22.75x5.5" deep painted wood (red w/black corners) hinged-lid box contains 1931 Erector set No. 7-1/2 by A.C. Gilbert Co. Lid features worn "The New Erector" decal. Front side of box has metal fasteners. Underside of lid features illustrated label showing boys building vehicle chassis using Erector set. Box has some corner tip wear and scattered paint wear but is o/w Fine overall. Contents appear complete and come w/"Manual Of Instructions - The New Erector" w/"No. 7-1/2" set designation. Manual shows some handling wear and is Fine overall. Also comes w/patent slip and stained inspection voucher. Box has lift-out metal tray that reveals five cardboard boxes underneath and various hardware and parts to construct devices. Some parts include solid white rubber tires w/painted metal hubs. These have some stresslines as aged but remain structurally sound. Set appears unused and shows little wear and is VF overall. Elaborate set. Barry Lutsky Collection.
