Item Description
One-of-a-kind oversized ceramic skull w/rubber snake wrapped around and through eye socket and hole in head measures 7.5x8x9.5" tall and was made by artist Alan Taylor in 1987 as noted by artist's signature (w/Alice Cooper sketch) on underside of piece which has felt bottom attached w/Velcro. Battery-powered display lights up an eerie green inside and plastic eyeball also lights up. Forehead has bloody painted "Alice Cooper" name. This piece was held by Cooper himself and used for cover photo to June 1991 issue of Japanese heavy metal magazine "Burrn" #6 as well as appearing four times throughout article. Magazine featured promotional article for Cooper's then newly released "Hey Stoopid" album. Underside felt covering has handwritten notes/diagrams of batteries needed to power display. Some lt. aging/dust soiling. but working and Exc. overall. Would make for a killer display. Comes w/reading copy of the magazine w/cover featuring this item.
