Item Description
12.75x16.75" artboard has mixed media original art for cartoon that was published in the Nov. 1981 issue of "Playboy." Art is by Francis Wilford-Smith (1927-2009), a British cartoonist who used the pseudonym Smilby. He produced a number of cartoons for "Playboy" over the years, like the one offered here. Art depicts older gentleman walking down windy city street and passing woman, whose skirt has blown up over her head, revealing her black lace panties. This catches the older gentleman's eye (as well as a cab driver in the bkg.), who remarks "Good Heavens - It's Suzette" in handlettered caption below art. Margins have some penciled production notations but all remains clean and Exc.
