Item Description
Arminski created this "mock-up" concert poster at the request of the tour promoter. Tasked w/coming up w/a basic design, Arminski improvised, adding the venue, date and The Breeders as the special guest as the band was popular at the time, but none of these details would end up on this bill. Offered here is 14-1/8x23-7/8" original production artboard w/hand-lettering and design surrounding triangular photostat of Plant at center and applied photostat of concert date and venue information at bottom. Design also features Arminski's hand-cut border design. Bottom has "Sample Comp. Original Art - 1993" handwritten note w/Arminski's signature at lower right. Artboard has some scattered aging to tape and main design, which is cut out panel applied to artboard. VF/Exc. overall. This poster design was never used or in fact printed (and in fact Arminski was never paid for his work). Comes w/digital print sample w/great psychedelic bkg. pattern. Print has also been signed and is mounted on foamcore. Something unique for the Robert Plant and Led Zeppelin fan. Mark Arminski Archives and comes w/COA. Winning bidder purchases artwork only. The artist, Mark L. Arminski, retains all and total reproduction rights.
