Item Description
8.75" tall tin litho and plastic wind-up w/built-in key. Made in Japan for the Japanese market by Popy, 1970s. "Space Ironmen Kyodyne" is a Japanese tokusatsu (any live-action film or TV drama that features considerable use of special effects) sci-fi/superhero series. The show premiered in 1976 and ran for 48 episodes. Offered here is Grounzel, who is able to transform into a car-like form known as the Grouncar (toy does not transform). Wind-up shows just scattered wear w/paint nicks/scratches to tin litho body (most evident at yellow area at top of chest) and some aging to feet. Plastic head has some paint rubs. Fine overall. Works.
