©1988 Paramount. "Star Trek the Next Generation" Galoob Starship Enterprise 1701-D. This 6" long 4 piece resin cast prototype ship differs from the production version in that there are different mount points where ship and saucer section meet. All hand produced and painted with decals applied. Decals are in black as opposed to blue on production piece. This is the examplep photographed by Galoob and used for the image shown in the 1989 Galoob catalog. Labeling on bottom of ship. Some lt. wear and rubs to decals. Displays as produced and overall Exc. Lot also includes actual 8.5x11" catalog. Catalog has loose cover and binding loosening toward center. Otherwise lt. wear and displays Fine. Last item in lot is final production two piece die-cast metal Enterprise. Lt. wear w/a few chips and soiling under saucer. Fine. Star Trek toy prototypes of any era are rare and desirable. This is a particularly nice example of one such coveted piece.
