Item Description
14.5x19-5/8" matt has two openings that have been double-matted. Left opening measures 6.75x9" and features pencil original art for page from the 1999 book adaptation of the 1983 animated feature "Mickey's Christmas Carol." Art was created by Ron Dias, who was hired at the Disney Studios in 1956, starting in the in-between department during the production of "Sleeping Beauty," beginning a 40+ year association w/the Disney Company that included illustrating their characters for Golden Books, art directing limited edition cels for Disney Art Editions, art directing The Little Mermaid TV series and more. Art depicts Scrooge tossing bags of money at Ratty and Moley at top and second image features Donald Duck reacting to Scrooge's request to join him and his family for dinner. Typed strips of paper w/dialog have been taped above art, which remains clean and Exc. Dias has signed at lower right and upper right has been signed in black felt tip pen by Wayne Allwine, who voiced Mickey Mouse from 1977 (including "Mickey's Christmas Carol") until his death in 2009. Allwine has added "Mickey" character name. Second opening features page from final book. Ready for framing and would make a nice display.
