Item Description
Illustrated cardboard window box contains 13.25" tall figure of "Six Million Dollar Man." Kenner, ©1975 Universal City Studios Inc. This is the true first version of this iconic figure; includes Engine Block and non-removable left arm. Kenner produced two versions of this figure, one elastic cuff sleeves and non-removable arm and non-elastic cuff sleeves w/two removable arms. The later version (see following item #2668) was due to Kenner changing the figure's design after receiving complaints about the elastic cuffs damaging the bionic arm's "Life-like Skin" and children breaking off the left arm, thinking it was removable like the right bionic arm. This figure also had a slightly different hair color. Box has some scattered lt. wear w/corner creases and front flap has original store price stickers though flap has not been folded over. Upper right corner of window is loose, but window o/w remains firmly affixed. Right side panel has a tiny dot and a .5" spot of staining, though box still displays VF. Box's original factory tape has been neatly sliced, but figure remains affixed to insert and appears to have never been removed from box. Mint as issued. These first version figures were only made a short time before Kenner discontinued them, resulting in their scarcity and these figure command higher prices as a result. Among the most sought after Six Million Dollar Man items. Rick Whitelock Collection.
