Item Description
First is 5/8" "Edison's Birthday" button c. 1920 with W&H paper. Minor collet oxidation otherwise Mint. Next is 1.5" brass disk with a 1/8" deep side edge. Reverse has small circular piece of metal and this piece was probably once fastened to a record player. Front has full figure female in gown with extended arm holding a wreath in the front of a large building with a sunburst above. The inscribed text is "Diamond Disc/Official Laboratory Model/Thos. A. Edison" (his facsimile signature). This piece is likely c. 1917 when his disc phonograph had garnered considerable success in the market place. Minor luster loss. The third item, for a convention, reads "The New Edison 'Big Show' Convention/Apr. 25, 1917/Laurence H. Lucker." This is 1.5" and has back paper by Minneapolis maker Wendell-Greenwood Co. Glossy and Exc. and the first we've seen.
