Item Description
Plain 8.5x11.5" slipcover contains high quality limited edition signed and numbered hardcover w/gold/blue foil embossed cover published by Dodd, Mead & Company, ©1983. This hardcover reprints Mary Shelley's classic tale "Frankenstein - Or The Modern Prometheus" w/43 astounding illustrations by noted comic artist Berni Wrightson (including one two-page illustration). Book comes w/original tissue paper dust jacket which has yellowed w/age and become brittle, but o/w remains complete and VF. This edition was limited to 500 and has been hand-numbered 446 on page preceding title page. This page has also been signed in black felt tip pen by Wrightson and horror author Stephen King, who provided the introduction to this edition. NM/Mint as issued.
