Item Description
28" tall stuffed cloth doll w/thin molded plastic face and thread hair. Produced in 1953, doll was never sold, it was featured in stores as a promotional contest prize by Phillip Morris, one of the show's sponsors. Doll's costume features striped blouse plus apron w/heart-shaped pockets and "I Love Lucy" text emblazoned across center. Small "Desi" name is printed below. Face has some minor denting and lips show lt. wear. Forehead has some glue residue where hair has lifted, but this is not distracting. .25" crack at neck. Has attached cloth scarf around head but missing additional kerchief that tied around head. Back of head has 1" area of sewn repair and back of blouse has tiny safety pin holding it shut. Scattered lt. aging/ wear. Fine overall for display. Nicely designed, impressive size. A rare doll and a classic TV item.
