Item Description
Pair, both ©1966. Smaller is 16.25x25" glossy paper proof for what became a picture on thick cardboard. Art shows Batman and Robin swinging through the sky on batropes. Small text at bottom has NPP copyright and reads "Batman And Robin - A Davco Publication - Litho In U.S.A." Top margin has been trimmed and sheet has been rolled. Scattered handling wear. Fine/VF. Double-sided 29x45.25" stiff paper sheet is press proof for pin-ups that were sold two per pack in bags marked "Batman 2 Color Pin-Ups." Those production items had blanks backs whereas this press proof features pin-ups on front/back of The Riddler, Batman, Batman and Robin and The Joker w/art by Carmine Infantino and Murphy Anderson. One side has glossy finish while opposite has satin finish. Moderate to obvious margin wear along top/bottom w/9.75" horizontal tear across bottom Joker image w/archival tape repair. VG overall. Both are rare and first we've seen in our 49 years.
