Item Description
Pair of posters. First is 20x28" OWI poster No. 62 issued in 1943. This is smaller of two versions, see item #1080. Poster features great image of soldier advancing w/bayoneted rifle and list of major battles thus far in the war - Pearl Harbor, Bataan, Coral Sea, Midway, Guadalcanal, New Guinea, Bismarck Sea, Casablanca, Algiers and Tunisia. Folded as issued, poster has some small creases at fold crease intersections, but is o/w Exc. Second is 16.75x21.75" poster produced and released by Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Feature cartoon art of man w/Hitler and Tojo whispering in his ear by Jack Betts. Poster text reads "Don't Fall For Enemy Propaganda - Against Our Government - Against Our Allies - Against Catholics, Jews Or Protestants - Remember - Hitler And The Japs Are Trying To Get Us Fighting Among Ourselves."
