Item Description
12x17" artboard has original pen and ink art by Erik Doescher and Mike DeCarlo. Produced as box art for 1996 "Microverse" playset by Kenner. Based on the popular "Superman: The Animated Series" cartoon produced 1996-2000, playset art features Superman at center in front of "Daily Planet" building w/helicopter about to land at helicopter pad, carrying cage for rampaging Parasite. Lex Luthor also appears within immense mechanized body armor. Art has been signed at lower right by Doescher, who provided much art for featuring the casts of both the Superman and Batman animated series. Upper left has staple hole and some small spot of ink but this could be easily matted out. Art displays Exc. Franco Toscanini Collection.
