Item Description
Lot of seven pulps, comprising the complete set containing "The New 'Tarzan' Story By Edgar Rice Burroughs." Published by The Consolidated Magazines Company Sept. 1929 through March 1930 (Vol. 49 #5-6, Vol. 50 #1-5). The Tarzan story advertised on pulp covers is "Tarzan At The Earth's Core" and this is the first printed version of this particular story, later collected and printed in book form. Each cover features Tarzan art by Frank Hoban. March 1930 issue shows lt. wear w/4" diagonal creases to front cover and lt. spine wear. VF/Fine overall. Other covers show heavy and obvious wear w/a few loose/torn covers. Poor/Good. Pages have aged to cream to lt. tan at margins, w/a few issues having brittle page edges. Fine overall. The March 1930 issue is desirable in any condition and these issues are rarely offered together as a complete set.
