Item Description
Andy's comic strip campaign for president in 1924 was used to advertise many various products and business. This group includes two of the very scarce larger size 2" buttons. The one with darker blue rim is a particularly rare example that was used as a sample by button maker Parisian Novelty of Chicago. Rim reads "Your Own Copy On This Border." Exc. The light blue rim, as made, larger one promotes a real estate firm and has just a few hairline scratches that catch reflected light. VF. The three 1.25" sizes are: "My Platform Smoke San Alto." Exc.; "Andy Goes To Walters For Drugs." Exc. and "Andy Gump Nite Wed Aug. 27 Midway Gardens." This has a .25" fine hairline crack at upper left barely showing and comes with backpaper reading "This Button And Forty Cents Will Admit One Gentleman Any Tuesday Night During Month Of Sept. 1924." All scarce to rare examples that overall display as Mint.
