Item Description
3.75x3.5" eight-sided paper badge has illustration of smiling man w/text including "G.C. Tilyou's Combination Badge/Steeplechase The Funny Place/Coney Island Times." A price of "50¢" is seen on either side of illustration. Reverse has round center reading "Steeplechase Park/Combination Badge" and the numbers "14" and "2114." On the outer edge are divisions numbering from 1 to 25. Inside center circle are numbers 26 through 31. Ten numbers remain unpunched. Numbers possibly represent days in a month and would be punched for each day used. Attached string may have been added after badge was acquired. One side has roughness as though possibly detached from something else. Dried glue residue appears on illustration side, numbered side shows uneven coloration. c. 1900. Fine.
