Large 15x20" Crescent artboard has mixed media painting for pin-up published in 1995 issue of "G-Fan," a magazine covering all things Godzilla and kaiju-related that began as a newsletter in 1993, continuing to this day in magazine format. Original art features full body profile image of Godzilla as he appeared in the early to mid-1960s. Larger portrait image appears at upper right. Painted by sci-fi artist Chris Scalf, who has provided numerous covers and related art for "G-Fan" over the years as well as providing art for Godzilla comic books and other sci-fi publications. Scalf has signed his name at lower right, adding "95" date. Margins show scattered soiling, w/two spots of moisture staining along bottom margin and two spots of tape residue along bottom right margin. These issues do not affect art, which could easily be matted and framed for an Exc. display. Great painted image of the King of the Monsters.
