Original 3.25x8.5x3.25" deep illustrated cardboard box contains 7" long size 18 (Japanese) child's vinyl/canvas sneakers. 1960s. Exclusive to the Japanese market w/all Japanese text including Superman name and nice full color image on front of sneakers. Sneakers' soles have Japanese Superman image/name. Unused w/original tissue paper and one cardboard insert. Exc. Box has great graphics featuring Superman flying w/his pet dog Krypto, fighting dragon monster (same monster as depicted in Japanese Superman model kit, item #2108) and classic full body shot of him w/hands-on-hips and breaking chains. Box end has applied Superman "S" symbol and size cardboard markers, though these have been crossed out in black marker, different size added. Box has even lt. aging and shows some wear w/creasing and small tears at corners. Fine. Great graphics. Scarce. Franco Toscanini Collection.
