4". 1960. One of the rarest and most sought after JFK buttons. Features bluetone photo of a smiling JFK. This example was recently unearthed in the consignor's mother's basement. The story goes that they attended a rally in Philadelphia in the days leading up to the election. The consignor even recalls shaking JFK's hand at the event most likely held Oct. 29 in the Lawrence Park Shopping Center. Likely issued in very small numbers at the tail end of the campaign. Scattered surface scratching seen in reflected light with the most notable being about 1/4" on Kennedy's left ear. Also the faintest of yellowing at the edges of cream background consistent with the few other examples we have encountered. Exc. displaying NM.
