Item Description
11.75x24" frame has etched plate reading "Bringing Up Father - George McManus - Oct. 22, 1943" at bottom center. Pen and ink original art has been double-matted to 5.5x18.25" and features four panels w/whole family shown. Jiggs comes home late and gets yelled at by Maggie in first two panels before their daughter Nora arrives home in panel three, quickly saying goodnight in last panel as Jiggs and Maggie look stunned. This panel has been signed by "Bringing Up Father" creator George McManus and art features pair of KFS copyright strip paste-overs (one missing bit of surface paper) in first and second panels. Wonderful ink work especially in second panel featuring Maggie and Jiggs silhouettes. Art is clean and Exc. A prime example, ready for display as professionally double-matted and framed.
