Item Description
10-5/8x15.75" thin artboard features artist Paul Gulacy's pen and ink original art for page 11 of the Feb. 1974 issue of "Adventure Into Fear" #20, featuring "Morbius The Living Vampire." Published by Marvel Comics. Gulacy is best known for his work for DC Comics and Marvel Comics, often associated w/Marvel's 1970s "Master Of Kung Fu" series. While Spider-Man villain and occasional ally Morbius the Living Vampire first appeared in 1971's "Amazing Spider-Man" #101, this issue marks his first appearance in "Adventure Into Fear." Six-panel page features a reverend and a rabbi uncovering Morbius's resting place, only for Morbius to be confused as to why he does not feel the need to attack the two men. Page has been inked by Jack Able. Top/bottom margins have production notations w/taped page number at bottom center. Margns have some scattered tape staining and some darker staining on first and fourth panels, though mostly on text blocks or word balloons, not greatly detracting from art. Lower left corner has dark .75" spot of staining. Fine overall w/VF art. Comes w/printed example page from the comic this art appeared in. Great early Morbius content from early in Gulacy's career.
