Lot consists of file copy (stamped "Permanent File Copy - Return Promptly To Library Desk") on cover of Saalfield coloring book originally published in 1940. Cover art was originally featured as the cover to "Action Comics" #21 (Feb. 1940). This has penciled "#1504" at upper left corner and is for a 1950s reprint. Saalfield frequently recycled cover images for their later Superman reprints. Cover has been linen-backed. Scattered edge/corner wear w/1.5" crease and .25" tear at bottom left corner. Fine/VF. Neat piece to frame. Comes w/four color positive acetate sheets used in printing, measuring between 10.5x15-5/8" and 12x16.5". These are for the original 1940 prints and each has "1491" at bottom left. Included are black, red, blue and yellow color positives. Scattered lt. wear, VF overall.
