19-7/8x32" Masonite board w/acrylics original art for cover to E.R. Eddison's high fantasy novel The Worm Ouroboros. Originally published in 1922, this cover art is for Dell's 1991 paperback edition. Art depicts Queen Sophonisba hailing Lord Juss, who takes flight so save his brother astride a rearing hippogryph (a legendary creature that combines the front half of an eagle w/the hind half of a horse). This art was also published as Holochrome Card H1, "Hippo-Gryph," part of the Tim Hildebrandt's "Flights Of Fantasy" fantasy trading cards, published in 1994 by Comic Images. Lower right has painted signature. Back has handwritten labels (one taped to board) as well as name/address of New York City art representatives Frank & Jeff Lavaty & Associates in marker. Board shows moderate corner tip at top w/some scattered edge wear, but art remains clean and VF/Exc. Would make for a fantastic framed display.

Accepted payment methods are Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, check, money order and we will also accept payment by wire transfer. PayPal is not an accepted method of payment. A 3% fee will be added to all credit card payments. Please be advised if your invoice is under $5,000, your credit card on file will be charged on the 15th day following the close of the auction. If you wish to pay via check, money order or a wire payment must be received prior to that date.
We ship in the order paid—first in, first out. Thus, we begin charging orders as instructed by customers immediately following the close of the auction and continue to fill orders as they are paid.

Doing so after the close of the auction may result in a package not being delivered to the correct address. It is the bidder's responsibility to make sure their mailing and shipping address is updated. Without exception, all special requests for “Rush Delivery” will incur a charge of $50.00 plus any additional shipping fee associated with the expedited shipment. Overall, our goal is to ship all orders within 15 business days of payment. Allow four weeks from the day you send payment before calling to check on the status of your order.
