Tsukuda was one of three Japanese distributors of Kenner's Star Wars toyline. Initially, Tsukuda offered Return Of The Jedi 65 Back-A and 65 Back-B carded figures which featured Japanese language stickers applied to the back lower third of card for release in the Japanese market. When Kenner's Power Of The Force line was released, Tsukuda changed their distribution plans, opting not to sell packaged Power Of The Force action figures, instead offering Return Of The Jedi carded figures w/Power Of The Force coins glued to the card and then individually shrink-wrapped w/white cardboard backer behind blister card. The majority of these Tsukuda-packaged offerings featured coins that matched the figure. Offered here is a 77 Back-A blister card containing 3.75" tall Kenner action figure. Blister card has been sealed in shrink-wrap, w/"TIE Fighter Pilot - Empire" Power Of The Force aluminum collectors coin glued to card at upper right. Card has been encapsulated w/inner acrylic case to offer additional protection. Card has been partially punched w/front loose but near hole under shrink-wrap. Back shows wear at hanger hole w/small peg hole punched through tab and shrink-wrap. Card has slight warp due to tightness of shrink-wrap. Blister is yellow and has some denting. AFA subgrades are as follows - C75 B75 F85. Extremely rare and just the second such Tsukuda piece we have offered. At time of cataloging, only two examples in total have been graded by AFA according to current AFA Population Report, both examples in an AFA 75Y grade (none higher).
