2x8x12.5" hand constructed window box w/flap contains repurposed battery operated electronic target game unproduced prototype. Circa 1986. Box has glossy printed graphics that are applied to the box. Box insert is thin plastic molded in blue and has been painted gloss red. Pistol and target are existing pieces by Diamond Toys that are spray painted black. Pistol has hand painted red stripe and applied "Sheriff Solar" logo. Target has an applied Sheriff badge star w/center painted red. Bottom of star has a cut out portion where painted over text can be read in reflected light. "Space Sheriff Lazer Zapp Target Game". Header card features image of Sheriff Solar and boy shooting target on chest of villain Tombstone. Includes lightbulb. Lt. aging/wear. Some edge looseness to applied panels. Back of flap is plain white. Insert has some denting and paint chipping in inner tray wells. Insert edges have paint overspray. Pistol and target have some scattered tiny chipping from being inside of insert. Likely produced as an internal sample or for Toy Fair use. Overall items are VF and as produced as prototype.
