Blister card contains 8" Mego figure (1977 issue figure) No. 51300/2. ©1975 Marvel Comics Group. This is a Type 2 body Green Goblin w/boots and satchel. Card has been punched and has faint horizontal crease above blister. Slight color rub to card where tip of Green Goblin's hat has rubbed. Card has some trace aging to white border outline and shows lt. wear in the form of some color rubs on back (at bottom, between images of Conan the Barbarian and Thing), but neither is overly distracting and mentioned only for complete accuracy. Archival case. AFA subgrades are as follows - C80 B85 F90. At time of cataloging, one of just two examples in total graded by AFA according to current AFA Population Report, w/this being the only example in an AFA 80 grade w/just one higher. Very rare 1975A carded version of the Green Goblin figure. Spider-Man's nemesis, The Green Goblin figure was discontinued by Mego shortly after this carded version was released, making this one of the hardest to find issues. One of the rarest Mego figures to come to auction and considered a grail item for elite Mego collectors. We sold the only other graded example (AFA 80+) of this rare carded figure in our July 2022 auction for a record $76,700.
