11x14" heavy sketch paper contains original pencil and ink art by Charles Vess of Doctor Strange, which appeared as a page in FantaCo's Chronicles Series Annual #1, published Feb. 1983. Vess has signed below art, adding "'82" date below figure. Bonus pencil drawing of Doctor Strange in flight in front of a moon w/dedication and signature at lower right. As a teenager, Klein asked Vess for a drawing of Doctor Strange. Although Vess agreed and completed the piece, he never delivered it at the time. Years later, when Klein asked about it, Vess explained that he had set the drawing aside but forgotten who it was intended for. He ultimately presented the artwork to Klein in 2005. Exc.
